SPORTS

The high school campus with its own large playground provides for a secure and safe place for students to play.
Under the supervision of experienced PE staff, the school trains teams for Volleyball, Throw-ball, Ball Badminton, Kho Kho, and Kabbadi. These teams participate in inter-school and district level competitions. The school has a brass band that is showcased at the Annual Sports Day event. Students, as part of their weekly curriculum, are provided with a variety of games and get adequate playtime

With the digital world expanding at a rapid pace the school's Computer lab and faculty ensure that students from 1st standard onwards have access to the computer lab with computer access for every student. Regular upgrades are made to ensure students are on par with continuous developments in computer technology. The Science lab is equipped with up to date labware, instructional charts, models and scientific equipment to ensure students get hands-on experience in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics.

The AV Room is designed to provide a non-formal learning space. Equipped with a computer and high definition TV, students are shown audio-visual material that enhances both their knowledge and the concept of practical application.

In this digital age, it is necessary for students to have their cognitive skills sharpened through access to good books and reading time. The School library holds a wide variety of books to ignite an interest in students to read beyond their textbooks.

We actively seek to provide students activities outside the classroom. With the Scouts & Guides to be introduced in the coming academic year, the following are some of the activities that students are involved in from all age groups:
  • The Science Club gives opportunities to students to showcase their understanding by creating models or conducting experiments displayed during the science exhibition.
  • The Humanities Club gives opportunities to students to showcase their knowledge via drama, rangoli competition and puppet making thereby developing skills through non-formal communications.
  • The Literary Club is involved with poetry, prose and debate competitions in English, Kannada, and Hindi.

The annual David Jambaiah Memorial Debate and Quiz Competition is an inter-school competition, providing a platform for students to excel in oratory, debating and general knowledge skills on current topics.
The Music Club engages in developing skills in playing the guitar and also in basic vocals in music.
‘Red Day’, ‘Blue Day’, ‘Orange Day’, ‘Yellow Day’, ‘Green Day’, ‘Show and Tell’ and ‘Fancy Dress’ events give Pre-School students the opportunity to showcase their talents and also enhance communication skills.
Further the celebration of national and state events such as Republic Day, Independence Day, Karnataka Rajyotsavaenable students to reflect on and remember our history, tradition, and culture as a nation and as a state.

The school has its own buses. The statutory guidelines for safety are followed with a staff member accompanies the driver. For a reasonable fee transport facilities are available within a prescribed radius and on a first come first serve basis.

The school engages a qualified full-time counselor. Students can find a safe space to interact with the counselor on issues that may concern them. The Counselling and Career cell organizes various seminars for students, teachers, and parents through the year on various topics ranging from dealing with exam preparation stress to managing emotions. This is to ensure the all-round personality development of the student.
