In this digital age, it is necessary for students to have their cognitive skills sharpened through access to good books and reading time. The School library holds a wide variety of books to ignite an interest in students to read beyond their textbooks.
We actively seek to provide students activities outside the classroom. With the Scouts & Guides to be introduced in the coming academic year, the following are some of the activities that students are involved in from all age groups:
- The Science Club gives opportunities to students to showcase their understanding by creating models or conducting experiments displayed during the science exhibition.
- The Humanities Club gives opportunities to students to showcase their knowledge via drama, rangoli competition and puppet making thereby developing skills through non-formal communications.
- The Literary Club is involved with poetry, prose and debate competitions in English, Kannada, and Hindi.
The annual David Jambaiah Memorial Debate and Quiz Competition is an inter-school competition, providing a platform for students to excel in oratory, debating and general knowledge skills on current topics.
The Music Club engages in developing skills in playing the guitar and also in basic vocals in music.
‘Red Day’, ‘Blue Day’, ‘Orange Day’, ‘Yellow Day’, ‘Green Day’, ‘Show and Tell’ and ‘Fancy Dress’ events give Pre-School students the opportunity to showcase their talents and also enhance communication skills.
Further the celebration of national and state events such as Republic Day, Independence Day, Karnataka Rajyotsavaenable students to reflect on and remember our history, tradition, and culture as a nation and as a state.
